Studio Red is designed from the ground up to fill the void in hireable production facilities in Melbourne.

The custom-designed photographic studio features everything you need to shoot your next stills or motion project and/or , if sound is required, we have a seperate soundproof suite to shoot 100% to camera or record your podcast or soundtrack

Studio Red is conveniently located in Abbotsford, less than 4kms from the CBD, and 24 kms from Tullamarine Airport. It is within walking distance to Collingwood and North Richmond train stations with several tram stops nearby.

There’s plenty of free, short-term parking around the studio with ground floor access via our private laneway.

Photographic Studio

This versatile space features a clean 5.7-metre cyclorama, with top and bottom curves and plenty of clearance, as well as two wall mounted boom arms and a black curtain covering the length of the cyc. There’s even a manhole in the ceiling for perfect overhead shots. 

You will also have use of a private H&MU room, bathroom (with separate toilet), kitchenette with microwave and fridge, heating and cooling, digital sound speaker and of course, WIFI.

Your studio hire includes items such as clothes racks, poly boards, sandbags, trestle tables, steamer, iron and ironing board.

We also have an extensive range of motion and stills equipment available for hire together with a wide collection of props, coloured paper rolls, wall flats and even a clothes steamer to save you time and money.

Bump-in/bump-out rates and pre-light weekend bookings are available upon application and subject to availability. 

Sound Suite AKA Red Noise

Red Noise is a completely soundproof space backed with cutting edge technology designed to deliver crisp, clear audio content for audio-only work or 100% to camera. 

The workhorse is our top of the range RODECaster Pro II integrated sound mixer matched with 3 RODE Dynamic Broadcast–Grade Microphones; all you need to bring is a micro SD card to get started. 

For lighting flexibility, it features 4 independent studio lights on tracks that can be moved to suit and controlled via your phone. Camera and tripod hire can be arranged at additional cost if needed.

There’s also a remote-controlled backdrop system, with chroma key green, blue and white already installed; if you require a different colour background, that can be arranged at an extra cost.
